Good to see New Jersey is doing well. In the middle of the recession with every other state scrambling to save money new jersey feels like they have money to burn. That's the only possible explanation for firing this guy. This could not possibly be a more clear cut violation of his civil rights. He will obviously sue NJ metro for damages, and he will obviously win his lawsuit. A man working for the government engaged in political speech, and was fired for it. This is the whole reason for the first amendment, to protect political speech (as opposed to kids wearing t-shirts with pot leaves in school, or any other silly thing.
