Fun with numbers
So for those of you who prefer numbers to letters (because they are totally better) here's another riddle
1, 4, 14, 45, 139
so what's up with the sequence.
8, 5, 4, 9, 1, 7, 6, 3, 2, 0
and that sequence
those are both hard, but i got both of them, so they are not impossible. (unless your name is vytenis)

IF YOU'RE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE THESE OUT READ NO FURTHER!!!
here's the first one:
x3 + sequence number
multiply the first one by 3 add 1;
multiply the second one by 3 add 2;
and so on...
so the sixth number is 422.
the second sequence is in alphebetical order:
Eight
Five
Four
Nine
One
Seven
Six
Three
Two
Zero
The first one took me about three minutes, the second one took me at least twice that long.
indeed those are both correct. Like aras, i found the first one easy to do, but i did not find the second one easy. It took me an entire day to figure it out, i finally got it on the way to class, it just popped into my head. the worst part is that i wrote all the numbers out, thinking it might have something to do with letters, but failed to notice that they were in alphabetical order.
I gave Lokys a riddle he had to think about for more than 5 minutes. Wooooo. That's my best Lokys-related acheivement thus far... except for torching that Christmas tree. That was delicious.
Yeah, that's right, I'm one of Lokys' friends, and I'm only 40% Lithuanian... weird...
